Devlog: Twas the night before demo release

We have finally reached the point where we are able to post our game demo. This ordeal is daunting because there are always things we need to improve before release. However, in order to get you all acquainted to our gameplay, it is essential that we show you our game and our initial design process. It is a leap of faith to get our project off the ground and going somewhere.

While we prepare for the release, we should show you our new and improved game menu:

No more stock unity menus! Now we got an official menu that is done by Reed! She and the rest of the team are invaluable skilled members that help bring this game to life, and I owe them a great deal of gratitude for helping me with this project!

As our first phase draws to a close, we should also fill you in on our next phases. Here is a brief summary of all of our phases that we have planned out:

Phase 1: First level and core gameplay
Phase 2: Second level and boss mechanics
Phase 3: Stage select, visual novel and the first three bosses.
Phase 4: Second three bosses and extras
Phase 5: Final levels and final bosses

We don't have a concrete plan, but this is the framework schedule we have to give us a specific direction of what our project should be. I must confess that the biggest problem my previous projects had was a lack of direction. It all felt so daunting and seemingly impossible that I thought nothing could be done.

It was after I start to take the reigns and start planning for some releases that I realize all I needed to do was organize my timeline.

I also needed to take a leap of faith for my project. Most of the time, nothing happens due to my fear getting the best of me and keeping me from releasing my works. Now, it is time for me to take that leap, especially when it's for my group of designers.

It's been a wild ride, but I feel that it's just the beginning. Once we release, there is no going back! We will definitely start our kickstarter campaign before we release our demo. We hope you enjoy our demo!
